Middle Eastern Dance
Turkish Dance with Dahmia is an exotic form of exercising and a fun way to tone and tighten muscles while learning to dance at the same time.
Dahmia began taking lessons with Ates Altiok, born/raised in Turkey – had Wild Turk restaurant in Cleveland. She continued with various professional teachers but her main teacher at Oasis Dance Camp Cassandra Shore at Oasis Dance Camp for past 30 years.
Middle Eastern dance styles including Turkish-Egyptian-Greek cabaret style; Rom – Russian, Spanish, Turkish; Persian; Saudi Women’s; Fusion using Koto Drums/ME dance moves/combinations; Tunisian; scarf and cane dances using Arabic beats/music.
Have taught a variety of Middle Eastern dance classes at various locations but through the City of Wickliffe since 1979.
